50th Anniversary Retreat Attendees | Each year we get together at Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma for a 3-day retreat in the fall. Accommodations are shared rooms in rustic redwood cabins set among landscaped grounds including pool and hot tub. The towns of Sonoma and Glen Ellen are minutes away. The weekend includes conversation, recreation, yoga, hiking, swimming, hot tub, massage, art, music, good eating, and laughter. 2026 Art Project: Sashiko Lead by Naomi Horowitz and Gilda Puete Peters. Sashiko is the traditional Japanese hand-stiching technique for mending and embellishing fabric. 2026 Keynote Presentation: Bronwyn H. Hall Her talk will review the basics of intellectual property protection from an economist’s perspective and describe how it relates to creation in the architecture and design, drawing on some examples from past litigation in this area. 2026 Samba Dance with Luz Mena Luz is a Salvadoran cultural geographer, dance instructor, choreographer, and performer who brings people together through movement. She co-directs ANDARES, an international multidisciplinary arts project rooted in social justice. 2026 Live Music with Catia Machado Lund Afro Brazilian music with Oakland Samba Revue! 2026 Movement - Qi Gong with Marianne Benforado Registration typically opens in May and we'll provide an update on the keynote speaker and activities in late Spring / early Summer. |
