Membership - what do you get as a member?
Everyone on the web has access to some of the OWA benefits:
- Newsletter with member articles and news.
- Calendar of public events, upcoming shows, competitions, conferences.
But only members get access to:
- Annual Retreat: Held in Sonoma County in the fall, the OWA Retreat is a chance for members old and new to reconnect, restore, and revitalize the spirit.
- Holiday Giving Party: Each year we have a potluck to celebrate the year and collect donations for a worthy cause.
- Forum posting access for members-only topics.
- Member Directory containing professional information and interests for most OWA members.
- Health Plan: OWA offers a Health Care Plan for its members.
- Job Board: OWA members can view and share job opportunities at no additional charge.
- Portfolio where members can share up to 20 images of their work.
- Resource Page for women in the design professions.
- And most importantly, the camaraderie and support of hundreds of other design professionals. For this alone, joining is worthwhile!
Participation in events, lectures and tours sponsored by the OWA including:
OWA Programs: Scheduled bi-monthly with topics ranging from career development to community outreach to tours of local buildings. We often feature the work of our members as well as projects designed or managed by women architects and design professionals. See our Calendar.
Our annual membership dues are the following:
Professional Member: $90/year
Supporting Member: $180/year
Out-of-Town Member (more than 100 miles from Berkeley, CA): $50/year
Student Member: $40/year
We have these fees to keep our non-profit organization in operation. If you're dealing with financial hardship and would like to still be a member, please contact our Membership Coordinator.
