Dear Members,

We have a special guest this month.  Eileena Tsui is a high school student launching a platform for girls in high school to learn about architecture as a career path.  Please join us tomorrow to assist her in this endeavor by answeing her questions and guiding her towards a successful launch.  I, for one, am very proud of Eileena for taking this initiative.  Please see her message below:

Hi OWA Architects,

Hope you are doing well! I’m Eileena, a local high schooler at Monte Vista HS in the Bay Area. To keep it simple, over the summer I’ve been trying to build a website platform that will have the potential to create more architecture opportunities for young girls to introduce them to a field they may never have considered before. My mission is to be an advocate for introducing girls to the field of architecture and also teaching leadership principles, so that in the future, if they decide to pursue architecture, they will be equipped with the right foundation and the ability to grow up with female role models. My goal is to achieve this through building an accessible mentorship program. I would love to have a coffee chat or quick zoom call to get some insight and guidance from an architect on how to build this organization in a way that will be most beneficial and realistic. Hope to talk soon! This would mean so much to me, have a great day :)

I hope to see many of you tomorrow!
